Things To Do
David and I have spent a lot of time in the Monterey Bay area since we have moved to California. We have come down for weekend visits and have also spent time here with both of our families. During our stays, we have tried a lot of different activities and gone to many places that the Monterey Bay Peninsula has to offer. Below we have listed some of the best things we have done. If you are planning to spend some time in California before or after the wedding, we encourage you to take a look at our suggestions. Enjoy all of your time here. We are sure that you will grow to love it as much as we do!

Surfing
Central California has a good variety of beaches, which cater to all skill levels. Some of the best beaches are in Santa Cruz, including Steamers Lane, a local favorite. There’s Cowells, an excellent beginner’s spot located inside a cove at Steamers, which serves up an easy, rolling right that’s good for novices.
Carmel is a more intermediate/advanced area in a half-mile protected stretch with many left and right beach breaks that change constantly. Watch out for heavy shore pound and riptides. When Carmel’s conditions are good, there are clear blue tubes to be had.
